    Hey all,

I'm interviewing Casey Stoner in the next few days and I think it would
be nice to ask him a few aus.motorcyles member questions...

So, post 'em below, I'll put the interview online @ www.thomasr.org
    sometime this week.

And when this week's pre race fun is done and dusted- I'll see you all
@ The Island; I'm commentating for Southern Cross (3AW/2UE amongst
others). Hoping for some fun interviews, some great racing, a fun ride
down and a great tribute to Brocky!

    See youse there

    I had similar thoughts, but:

MOTOR racing legend Peter Brock will be honoured at the Motorcycle and
    Formula One Grands Prix.

And his family has accepted Premier Steve Bracks's offer of a state
    funeral.
Grand Prix boss Ron Walker yesterday said he would speak with Mr Bracks
and board members to discuss ideas for fitting tributes.

"He (Brock) was a long serving member of the Grand Prix board, a large
part of the Grand Prix and he is sadly missed," he said.

"We will be celebrating the life of Peter Brock in a discreet way."

Mr Walker said Brock, 61, was well loved and respected by all on the
    Grand Prix circuit.

The Motorcycle Grand Prix will be held from September 15 to 17 at
Phillip Island with the Formula One Grand Prix to be held from March 15
    to 18.

I think it would be nice if you offered to split your fee with the
people who did your job for you and came up with the questions you
    should've prepared yourself.

Why doesn't Casey win more races?

is it the bike or is it the team?

    3 Questions for Casey:-

Does he use Optimax, if the bike doesn't work do they get out the can of
Dubya Dee 40 and finally, can he pull wheelies on a shaftie.

oh...and can you park anywhere on the footpath in NSW.

and does he have an eTag mounted on his bike and does it interfere with
handling or does he just wait and hope they dont ID his numberplate.

He was a car racer. He was a board member of the corporation which
organises the Australian Formula 1 GP. He had input into the way that
event was run. The same corporation runs the MotoGP. The AGPC official
statement makes no mention of his involvement in the MotoGP event.

Just to make it easy for you I'll break it down: "ask him a few
aus.motorcycle questions". y'know one of the crtitcisms of modern
sports and sportspeople is that they are seen as being "remote". I
present you with the opportunity to reduce this "remoteness" and you
    post your too-easy sacractic comment.

    That's a shame.

A few. I'm not asking you to: write all the questions, organise the
photoshoot, turn up at the interview, record the interview, edit and
encode it, post it as a podcast, follow up interview, chase the
editor/s up, chase the photographer up, write the article, sub the
article, write the break outs, burn the CD ROM, mail it, write the
invoice, follow that up when you don't get paid two months later, do my
BAS, organise my tax receipts, etc.

No, I was asking for one non-sarcastic question and 20 seconds out of
    your life.

    But if that's too hard....

It is, but then, it's still harsh week.

Questions I'd love to know the answer to (but I doubt he'll tell):

Are the rumours of offers by Ducati and Yamaha true ?

Are you going to stay with Honda or are you still negotiating (ie have
you signed on the dotted line ?)

If Honda next year, will you be on a full factory bike ?

Has he seen anything of the new Honda 800 - any details he can reveal ?

Is Rossi really porking Capirossi ? If not, who really is his boyfriend ?

The last copy of AMCN reported Stoner as saying he'd found a change to
his set up to alleviate the problem which was causing him to lose the
front - can we have more details ?

No it's more like "oh God is Robbie Bolger here, please don't let him
give me an atomic wedgie and then make me eat his belly button fluff...
    again."
