Indeed not. And for once, I typed exactly what I meant to.

When you find out, can you let me know? I've not worked it out, and was to
    ashamed to ask.

Really? I don't see why they can't out themselves.

But then that would destroy the 'mystique' that they obviously crave...

Champ knows, btw, so you could always ask him.

Personally I preferred the Molly approach - keep it to yourself until you're
ready to tell everyone - which I thought was reserved and classy. Those who
needed to know before knew IRL, and the rest of us were told after the
    event, as it were.

'cos otherwise it just looks a bit desperate in a "Look at me! I changed my
name! But I'm not telling you who I am or why! Are you upset I didn't tell
you? Good - I got some more attention!" kind of way.

Will you talk to them more if you find out?

I don't know who it is either but I suspect I have as much to do with
them now as I did before.

Possibly. My interest in their identity faded about 2 seconds after they
hinted that they might be somebody I already know.

I thought it was Molly, given the ID, but it's not.
I think I know who it is.... and I thought WC would know.

Yeah, it used to happen like that at our school too.

  17. Oh FFS Dave. Mystique is really not my style.
    keep what to yourself?
    She is.
The work that is in progress is quite definitely not in a Molly way.
Quietly. It's bits of UKRM that have fussed.
Have you ever actually asked? And I have stated why I changed the
    name.
I didn't tell anyone, I really didn't think it would be an issue.
Well if that's what I wanted then as Auvache has pointed out, this
    surely just fulfils that criteria?

Never had unpopular prefects at any of the schools I went to. They were

I really don't understand. I've not changed my name so I don't know if it
works. Which is why I'm now double Whooooshed.

We had them at middle school, they were a tad unpopular and took a few
pastings out of school for their actions. As those kids moved on to
upper school and it came round to having new ones appointed, no-one
    wanted the job.
