230 miles. That's how far I rode; away from home. Every inch of that
    distance away from my house.
Then, I felt a little chill in my fingers; 'why have my heated grips
    turned off?'
Then; 'Is my headlight getting dimmer?'
then; 'Arse! It is, isn't it?'

I almost got wiped out by an artic who couldn't see my weedy torch beam
    at 232 miles.

But would you credit it? Mr Kawasaki's finest electricals finally left
my bike at a dead stall 6 feet from my destination.

    Click, wrrr. click, click.

A couple of good sleeps later and some lads from S.O.S turned up in a
bloody big van and said that I was quite correct that the charging guff
was buggered. Chucked it all in the back and started the long trip back.

So, I've saved £30 in petrol and had a really good chin wag with three
breakdown chaps who dumped me on each other in brief succession. I dunno
if any of them are likely to read this group, but they mentioned the
    internet between them; Thanks.

    Anyone got a reg/rec for an ER5?
