    Renewal hits doormat.

    £760

Four vehicles on policy, including the Blackbird.

I'm marked as "at fault" for the accident in January.

Renewal has annual mileage of 2999, proposal 21999.

I think a little chat may be in order.

    Sounds similar to my renewal...
That was the one you got knocked off the bike, right?
I skipped that part and went straight into irate boxhead mode.

I swapped from Auntie to Bonnets and then to Swinton followed shortly by a
goodly claim which was definitely my fault.

The renewal quote following the claim went *down* by 12 quid, even when I
asked them if they knew I had a claim against me. "Yes, we know, blah, blah"
and the following year it went down by another 50 quid. This time around
it'll be 3 years since I claimed so I won't have to answer "Yes" to that
**** of a question "Have you been involved in any accident in the last three
    years"

CN and Bonnets both proved to be great for a while and then they both
royally fucked up with their prices.

CN still consistently comes out the best VFM for both car and bike
policies I hold. Bike was renewed in May and car comes up next June.

Bikes are 2x MZ, Kawasaki Turbo (counts as modern), Guzzi 850 and a BMW
K75. Car is a 1965 Jaguar. All are un-garaged in the SE with full
European cover and I have a six week disqualification declared.

I expect they'll still get my business next time.

That alone would probably piss me off enough to change insurance
companies. When I phoned up to impolitely enquire how my renewal could
double without any change in circumstances, I was told there had been a
    'mistake' with the renewal quote.

Want to bet that you'll be fed similar horseshit?

Footman James for me. Mainly because, unlike CN, they don't put the tart
in the same virtual insurance group as a GSXR1100.

Yes, but you machinery tends not to be as cutting edge as mine.

I think there might be another meaning of 'cutting edge' aside from
'closely related to a lawnmower', y'know?

Just been through it myself. Renewal was with, suprise, Grouparama and
around the £200 mark. I did a comparison thingy, got quotes as low as
£120, so went back to Aunty and they got it down to £130 with someone
    else.

I did notice that the first renewal had a £40 broker fee, but the new one
came in at £10. So for 10 minutes on the phone, they've paid me £30.
    Nice.
