    Guys

Due to be utterly overcommitted I'm standing down as one of the 2
aus.moto representatives on the NSW MCC effective immediately.

Is there anyone else interested in taking it on please ?

The effort is only as onerous as you wish to make it (monthly
attendance at a meeting is the minimum) ie - how much you're willing
    to do.

So...if you're in NSW, and willing to front up at a meeting in
Flemington to help further the motorcycle's community's interests then
    please let the group know.

    Regards

    JL

  5. Shouldn't that be 'communities'?

Flemington not Ryde? What time does the beer stop flowing?

They are held on the first Monday of the month in Flemington (in a
club near the markets, just off Parramatta Rd) at 7:30pm, usually go to
    about 10pm.

Yeah, the Bowling club at Ryde burned down! (or at least great chunks
    of it did.)

The meetings go to about 10-10.30, I expect you can get beer after that.

  8. Oh no, bugger!
A bit far and a bit too much to expect of the babysitter I suspect.

Naah that'd be the plural of community as opposed to something belonging
    to a community.

    JL
That's the trouble with English, bastardised hodgepodge of German French
Danish Latin and Greek with a bit of Celtic and Pictic and whatever the
hell else thrown in. Makes no bloody sense !

    Honorable Member Little John,

    "Guys..."

From the outset, I thought your resignation statement was chauvinistic and ignorant that gals may also be interested....

(add me to the spelling/grammar nazis list)

  15. Hi John,

Can you email me offline (jamesmayfield"at"oztralia.com) with a bit more
info on what exactly is involved?

I'm certainly interested, but I want to make sure I'm not biting off more
than I can chew. If I do it, I want to be able to do a good job.

Au contraire Al, in this brave new world of corporate speak and
inclusive language "guys" is widely accepted as non gender specific.

    (Meaning 2)

    JL
(however I probably am chauvinistic and ignorant of gals - but I'm
    trying !! Very trying...)

  17. Hmmmm. I've always used the term 'guys' to mean 'people I hang around
with'. My sister also uses that term, when referring to her friends
    (most of which are girls.

I would consider 'guys' to be a unisex term.
