The greedy bastards have all but doubled my premium for no other reason than
    they're greedy bastards.

Oh dear, just signed up with them through Auntie Carol. I may live to
regret that. Best price I could get after I managed to back the CR-V into
a parked car on new year's day (clumsy ****, before anyone else says it!)

Utter, utter wankers. Though when you get a claim escalated to the
Chief execs office they're incredibly helpful. Mind you I did play the
'I've had a bang on the leg you know' card.

Its tempting to shop around, the only thing holding me to NU (now Aviva) is
2 bikes on the same policy.

My spare bike is laid up with a rotten swing arm that I can't get out
because the pivot bolt has seized, its likely to take up to a year to get
round to it and maybe even pay someone to do it.

Underwritten by Aviva and Southern Rock - as far as I can tell from a quick
search, southern rock only does cars.

Anyone can feel free to jump in with insco's they'd recommend.

Wrong. I have an Ebike policy - the bike insurance is severally (not
jointly) underwritten by NU & Southern Rock. Any claim is handled by Ebike
and the proportion underwritten by each insurer is not disclosed. Ebike
don't have the best claims record mind.

Have you considered 2 policies? Especially if the one bike is much lower
value than the other, or not going to be ridden for a while. Often cheaper
to get a 2nd third party policy on an old snotter than stick both on a
    comprehensive policy.

I've been happy with Carole Nash as a broker for both car and bikes [1] -
when I claimed (in 2000) it was sorted out ok and when I had to rely on
European recovery (in 2008) it went well.

Seems pretty good VFM to me.

[1] It's all going to go wrong now as that's the second time I've said I
    haven't had any real problems.

Aren't CN Suzuki specialists? - (both mine are Honda).

Last time I had a Suzuki, CN didn't give me the best quote.
