    That's not what I've had either, as mine had no catheter to remove.
    It just 'wore off', but over a long (12~24 hour) period.

    Yeah, I guessed as much.
    Will presumably depend on the drug(s) used. Just like at the dentists,
    some drugs(the older ones, in that case) are quite wide-acting and
    long-lasting while others may be much more localised and quicker to
    wear off.
