    Hi to all,
I have a 98 HD Dyna Wide Glide and it has new plugs and all the fluids have
been changed, but still sometimes backfires or coughs when I accelerate,
either at the first of a ride or anytime taking off during a ride, not all
    the time but sometimes.
Could it be igniton problems or carb. problem? I don't know and any
    information would be apprecitated.
    Thanks,

There you go... Ol' Texdays knows about things like that.. He has been
installing a ten gallon tank on his (?)
Valkyrie for about a year now.. See there.. When you get ready to do the
job, we can invite him up and he will take care of it asap.. LOL..
Meantime.. bring that puppy up here and we'll see what we can do about the
    "real" problems ..

However.. I have to admit, it didn't run like it had a problem, last time we
rode.. The green Vulcan was gasping just to keep up.. Regards..

According to "texgays" (as he's known with the other groups), adding a
larger tank makes the bike a no-ride, no-handling machine that can't
be controlled and would surely kill any rider trying to ride such a
    beast.

Problem was, in his lucid calculations, he forgot to figure the fluid
he was already carrying and the difference in weight was only about
30lbs or so...and would seldom be carrying the full weight of a full
    tank.

I pointed out that if he couldn't ride a bike with that little bit of
weight added, he might want to stick to a car. It pissed him off and
he started talking (sending emails) about how I was molested as a
child. He also popped off about how that weight would be impossible to
ride the bike on track days...but it was a Valkarie (if I remember
    correctly).

According to past postings to other groups, he presents himself as
this mega-rich biker who rides all these high-end bikes...then he
makes statements like these and statements about bikers in wrecks
deserve what they get and are stupid for having head injuries.

<chuckle> Sorry.. I don't get the "ATHF".. Understanding Texdays isn't
really an issue.. LOL..His "immaculate conversion" took place a few months
ago after he sent some very vicious and personal e-mails.. As I suspected at
the time, those types of "conversions" are "conveniences" that he can hide
    behind..

LOL... What a deal.. Ah well.. give the nice lady my best regards.. BTW..
Looks like I'll be running through Austin sometime on the 3rd of August..
Not sure what the schedule is going to be at this point.. But.. I'd sure
like to buy you guys a glass of icewater with a slice of lemon..

If you and Jim could let the "flock" guard themselves for a while, maybe we
can spend a little time together.. Looks like I will be on a tight
schedule.. I will need to be in Guadalajara on the 6th.. You better do some
arranging for your next vacation.. OK... Regards..

The "joke" is you, Trash.. Speaking of "personal attacks".and starting
"anything".. your personal e-mail to me about "molesting" my son was of the
lowest category of attack anyone can make .. If this newsgroup is such a
"joke" to you, then I'd suggest you limit your involvement ..

Meantime.. your "immaculate conversion" is another fine example of your own
character.. The postings you have done in the past couple of days are the
best indication that you are nothing more than a trashy hypocrit..

Regardless of your claims of "killfile" expertise, which is also very
doubtful.. You seem to track carefully what is being posted both by me and
my son, whom you claimed I molested.. Regardless of whether you disagree
with someone, or not.. attacking anyone in this manner is the worst case of
cowardice.. Especially when you hide behind anonymous postings under an
    alias..

That being said, you are a trashy bastard and deserve no respect from anyone
on this group.. "Group Hug" and "God Bless"..

You have a short term memory problem going. You came into this group
after being run out of t.m.h. for your personal attacks to
others...mostly a person suffering from a head injury he received from
a motorcycle accident. With you not riding a Harley, the only reason
(based on your postings in the group) was to do nothing but stir a pot
by taking all the jabs you could to the Harley riders. You hit the
ground here attacking someone who was trying to sell their motorcycle.
I pointed out your errors in the lucid calculations you had and you
    started attacking me.

If this group is such a "joke", feel free to move on. I doubt anyone
    would miss you.

How about this, let the man take the Harley to the dealer and have
them look at it. If he has to ask a question which the answer is so
simple, he probably isn't set up to work on it in the first place.

When someone gets advice from a newsgroup on problems and trying to
avoid paying someone, that's only taking money out of someone else's
hands. I'm not into giving a whole bunch of money to Harley dealers,
but those guys are there making a living too. I know how I look at it
when someone gives "free" advice for computer or telephone problems.

Now, that's what I think of someone asking problems in a
newsgroup...and thus why I didn't respond to him. I appreciate your
"35 years" of experience, but this is also what I think of that too.

Now, let's go ride these motorcycles...I hear there's a good meeting
scheduled in Ft Worth tonite and it should be a good ride.

It's tough, and takes some self-restraint, but it can be done (not
poking fun at the Harley's). ;-)
