Balls to it

  1. A woman down the road from me died not so long ago. She was cremated, as
was her wish, and her husband did something unusual with the ashes.
He had them mixed with some concrete and moulded into a ball for the
    horses to play with.

When I suggested to my mother that my late father's ashes were
similarly treated and moulded into the form of a tasteful garden gnome
    she nearly pissed herself laughing.

Too much time to think, too little to do.

Our daughters 'Nan' gave her the money for her first bike and gear,
making her promise she'd take her out on it when she passed her test
(she was 80 odd then). She died soon after but we kept our promise and
daughter took her ashes round the block on the back of her bike.

If there is an 'up there' we know she would have been looking down and
    laughing. ;-)

  4. Sieve them a bit and they'd be handy to keep the chalk puffer topped up
    in the tube repair kit.
