Oh well, does it have a nice moon?
    See Dando ref!!
I liked them too. That was Emma Tomm on bass, yeah?
No, you've flown to the US since 2001? Or is that wrong too?
Fine print? Glub, what do you call billboard size writing then? Getting
    small?

How much of his catalogue do you know? A few years ago now (and it harsh
    week)!

It's like doing the Guardian cryptic crossword; you KNOW you're not gonna'
solve it all but you do feel pretty clever if you manage to jag a word or
    two.

I think you mean Paul Simon which means you didn't understand Hammo....

    You can breathe again now.

    fortnight?

Fark, you're a far more comprehensive mine of musical trivia than I,
that was a reference to Pink Floyd "saucerful of secrets" I had no idea
one of her bands covered it ? Which one ?
Clearly things have worsened since Sept 11, but the only flight I've
done in the last couple of years was to NZ and I don't recall billboards
about it (but then again I just may not have been looking/seeing (1))
    Probably, wouldn't surprise me :)

Off the top of my head, none.

I'm going to have to look it up, I'm thinking I have an album of theirs
    but I could be wrong.

    JL
(i'm thinking it's some sort of "you're a soft poof" reference from the
context to which I can only shrug and say "and...?" )

It wasn't a cover; it was just a song with the same name.
It was that custard bloke (who is married to Emma Tomm) Dave McCormack and
    [I think] the Polaroids.
    His stuff is pretty lowest-common-denominator.....

I don't know, I was (just) drooling over her. Oh and enjoying that fact
that she was watching the fret board rather than trying to be too cool.
    Yummmo!
Ah, then, you may have not had the privilege of "being educated about
    safety"!
Yeah, it was obscure, and I would have taken a photo, but seeing as they had
stripped searched my daughter and had rifles, I'd had enough of their
    paranoia by then.
If I could remember the band's name of which that lyric is running through
my head currently, I'd include it here. Nah, not today....

them's fighting words, Clem... and how could you dis a fellow
Queenslander? Dave is one of the few people in the music industry I've
kept in contact with, he's well known to be one of the nicest guys
around, and Custard had the best sense of humour. Last time we met he
shouted the bar with longneck VB's... I had to walk home. (oh, it's
Thom btw, Dave has it tattood on his arm.. he asked for her name and
phone number and he had her name permanently embedded into his skin a
    few days later)

    [chastened look]
In my defence I never said he wasn't a nice guy and I never said Custard
was no good; I just found his post-Custard stuff a bit
    paint-by-numbers......

As you would, and yeah she is.
<shakes head> Good lord. I have to admit I really don't want to go the
US again after the stories like this I've heard, it's just getting insane.
