I like yours, be better in black, mind :)

Are there any differences between yours and the new one apart from that
God awful exhaust? There may be internal differences but to all intents
and purposes, it looks like the same bike.

Well, this morning was a bit of a smelly one, probably due to the curry.
Irene and I decided that her kids' description of Chris from the Pahnd
Island photos was perfect and he should henceforth be known as "Big
    Stupid Grin".

I'm hoping it's going to be a 1000 version of the K6 750. In which
case I know exactly what my 30th birthday present to myself will be.

If not, then I'm going to have the K6/K7 750.

The shield around the rad is "colour coded" now and looks shite, coz it's
far too big. It looks like Kwak have tried to make it look like part of the
tank, but they fucked up. They did stick the indicators in it though, so
they got rid of the eyes on stalks of the original. Nice wavy discs and
radial calipers, but they mean nowt to me from a riding point of view.

The tank seems to have had its edges smoothed and an added plastic bit
joining the seat/leg support to the tank. I prefer the harder lines of the
original and I've no idea what that "thing" is that connects the frame cover
to the motor. Looks like a pipe of some sort, but it's fugly.

There may be internal differences but to all intents
I heard/read some time ago that Kwak were going to up the naked 1000 ante by
nailing a bigger motor in, but no sign of that, although the motor on the
new one bears no resemblence to mine. One thing's for sure though, it'll be
    more powerful than mine.

I am glad to see it's orange though.

I nearly bought one at the beginning of the year on a '04 plate.

I may still buy one yet and even more so if the engine stories are true.

Won't be for a couple of years now though.

I don't know what the stories are, but the engine on mine seems well up to
the job. Having ridden through the worst thunderstorms in my life recently
and the bike never missing a beat (even after it had a lie down at a petrol
station), I can't fault it. It's still more than powerful enough for me too.
    Shame that.

It's now got Showa forks too.
When I look at the new one I think "Bill Tidy" and his caracature pen. Take
(IMO) a good looking bike and **** it right up.
