    Hi,

What's the FOAK's tips and tricks on overhauling the front master cylinder
    and then bleeding the system.

The brakes are very notchy (still) and spraying brake cleaner around the
master cylinder temporarily relieves it (about a week).

What would a dealer charge to do this (I've not a lot of spare time)?

    TIA

Grease the lever pivot point. You've washed all the grease out of it
    and that's why it's notchy.

If you were operating the brake when you sprayed "around the master
cylinder" you may also have sucked brake cleaner into the top of the
    reservoir via the breather hole.

Brake cleaner is for cleaning the disc, pads and around the calipers.
