I've got plastic in my wallet I could easily spend that much on though,
and it doesn't concern me at all.

Nor me... but £4000 in plastic is one card.

£4000 in notes is a huge wodge that just seems to say "mug me".

Thought you sold it on ebay?

How can anyone who uses the internet for more than ten seconds a week
*not* have internet banking set up?

And, Christ, if you're going to use ebay a lot, it's going to be really
    fucking handy.

Don't sell it to this bloke. He's a clown.

Actually, I was amazed when the dealer I bought the CBR off let me ride
away after giving him a bankers draft.

I never filled in the log book either, which he dutifully placed on the
desk. He did ask my name and address which I gave him but for all
intents and purposes the whole thing could have been bogus.

    Amazing.

There was only a few hundred yards between the bank and my destination
so mine actually said "Sir, you're about to make a silly motorcycle
    purchase".

And it was right, I did, but I'm long over that now.)

Well it sold because of ebay not on ebay.

I've only just done mine! It's all the bloody passwordsn and usernumbers
etc, stopped me for a few weeks.
Right. I'll tell him. I've just phoned the bank and they said it was fine,
just ask him to confirm the numbers when he gets here.

Why not meet at the bank, then, and carry out the proceedings there?

  7. Very easily. I don't have it set up and I don't use telephone banking.
Oh and my branch is in Newcastle so not exactly round the corner. It
encourages you to keep your financial affairs as simple as possible.

That's how I sold the GSXR, easiest way we could have exchanged the
    money IMO.

Aye. I really wish I'd kept the SV another 18 months then demoted it to
a new life as a track bike.

Oddly, I wish I'd kept the SV for another year and then got the GSXR.
    Can't really explain why though.

Probably because I'd have got into less debt.

I got the same reaction when phoning a Lloyds TSB branch to check a
draft. They acted like I was the first person ever to do such a thing
and ultimately proved unable to verify the draft as "the guy who signs
    them all isn't here"..!

Definitely not! He is clearly a moslem fundamentalist sympathiser of
Ossama Bin Laden. Do you suspect him of left wing leanings? He could
be a stooge of the CIA... Trust no one...
