Worked for me. The bloke came to look at the Divvy 600, agreed a price and
we went to the bank to do the transfer. However, if it's only 1600 it is
best to do it in cash.

  2. Check it with the bank; there are forgeries around.

    Most conmen are nice chaps.

I spoke to his bank and they confirmed the amount was taken from his account
and that the draft wouldn't bounce.

    I hope they're right.

The bank might not have had enough cash.

Then why do so many girls buy them? I probably know more female owners
of R6s than I do blokes with them.

Just goes to show that women are very flexible, thankfully. I find R6s
and R1s back breakingly uncomfortable. Gixxers are much easier to ride.

  8. Never ridden an R1, but agree about the R6.

I wrote The Greasy Pole's early model. Horrible mid-range flat spot and
you had to be doing 10,000 rpm before it did anything.

Fun for 30 minutes and then a pain in the arse.

To be honest, that's true for all modern 600 sports bikes.

I was feeling quite affronted, because I still enjoy my CBR, then I
remembered that it's not modern anymore.

I do with it had another 25bhp, though.

If it did, it would have an extra 2~3000 rpm, and the extra, and some
of the mid-range, would all be stuffed up there.

I rode Elly's CBr600RR, and when going for it it was fantastic. But
open the throttle at 6000 rpm in 4th and it just went "buuuuuuuh"

Yeah, mine does that - though it's a lot better since I've had the full
    Akrapovic and the dynojet kit.

When I read of how the Gixer Thou makes torque from so low down, it is
very appealing, but I couldn't justify adding a Gixer (unless, perhaps, I
kept the CBR as a track bike) and the cost to change is such that I'd
rather spend that dough on something different.

  16. Heh, I paid for my car in notes, 4700 quid. When I got to the garage,
they pointed out I could have just used my switch card... d'oh!

Worth it for the bit where my friends dropped me outside the bank,
parking on double yellas, I ran in and ran out agaion 2 minutes later
with a stuffed envelope, and we escaped at high speed,
wheels-a-sqealin'...felt just like a real bank robber, so I did!
I could prolly buy 3 small cars now with the plastic that's in my
wallet. You're right, it wouldn't take much for someone to nick them
    and use 'em.

ITYF that Uzi is a CBR600FSport, which makes it one of the F4 series
which predates the CBR600RR. You can tell because Uzi doesn't have
the underseat exhaust. Just an Akrapovic.

  18. They all seem like that...UNTIL THEY START EATING BABIES!!

If he pulls some small, bloody fingers from his pocket and starts having a
    nibble, just walk away.

Do not, under any circumstances, accept any bits of baby he may offer.
Before you know it you'll be addicted and start hanging around with
    paediatricians.

    STAY SAFE! DON'T EAT BABIES!
