Can anyone recommend online source for a sealed battery for a 2005 HD
Sporster? I don't want to pay Harley Davidson prices. Which of the
    cheaper makes are good value?

    Thanks

Don't buy a cheap battery for cranking a big twin. You'll just end up
fucking up the sprag clutch. Get an AGM battery made by Westco or Hawker
Odyssey. You'll find links in the thread linked to ABOVE.
    no probs
How very polite, but unnecessary. You won't get any other type of reply

I bought the cheapest conventional lead acid Rob Roy battery I could get
my hands on six years ago and it still works on the higher compression
    than usual Guzzi.

It's getting a bit marginal in the cold if it's been left for a week or
so but 20 minutes on the charger usually sorts it - it's just getting old.

Yes, but you've got a reasonable amount of space on the Guzzi - HDs
don't have very large battery compartments, at least not the more
    recent ones.
