If you've installed a new battery, filled it and charged it - don't
leave the ignition on "park" for a week, and expect your shiny
    reconditioned GoldWing to start.

    Also.

If you've accidentally pulled your Optimate off its wall mounting onto
the garage floor - don't expect that to work, either.

    Arse.

However: taking said Optimate to bits, wiggling a few wires, and
putting it back together again seems to do the trick. Well, the little
yellow light comes on now, anyway, which is an improvement.
