Any chance of him actually doing really well? I'm serious, he knows the
track, has nothing to lose and lots to go for, he's not familier with the
Stones but assumming he gels with them can he really possiblty pull it off?
    Maybe!

Bayliss ... one of the nicest guys around, and a true World Champion,
something Hayden will probably never be.

That's a tad unfair, Bayliss never was close to being a MGP champ yet shined
and still shines in WSB, Hayden is still a stones throw from taking the MGP
how do you say whos the best rider?

I am a huge Bayliss fan and I have nothing bad to say about him. However
I don't believe you are being fair. Hayden is much closer to a MotoGP
championship than Bayliss ever has been or will be. And Hayden has
as many victories as Bayliss had podiums. Of course Bayliss has done
well in WSB, but Hayden has never competed in that series so Bayliss'
success there is meaningless for a comparison. So your statement
    is actually rather silly.

Hayden has won GP races. Bayliss never even came close. Amen.

Do well at Valencia? Bayliss has to dial himself in over a few races,
not turn up and post a poduim. He is also capable of the occasional
huge crash so he will certainly be the one to watch if he is near the
    front.

Hayden has won GP races on the easiest MotoGP bike in the world yet is
still not a champion. By contrast Bayliss rode the Ducati "bastard to
ride" Desmosedici to 3 podium finishes and 6th in the championship.

How many GPs has Hayden won that weren't at that abortion of a track,
    Laguna Seca?

Or if Rossi could get his mind around it [WHY does he hate it so much?,
after the last race prob. even more!]

Gp de la Comunidad Valenciana 29/10/2006
    Classification:
    ..
    Hayden
    Pedrosa
    Rossi
    Melandri
    Capirossi
    Roberts
    Bayliss.
    ..
Le Ducati NON sono solo ''bastard to ride'', le Ducati are the MotoGP best
bikes , dopo le Honda, of course.
Peccato per le Bridgestone, ma la Bridgestone paga tanti soldi a
    Ducati...:)
    ..
Saluti da Bologna, Italia, and excuse me if i don't speak english. :))

Bayliss had a Honda too, couldn't even get a podium. Got an explanation
    for that one?
He got beaten. Deal with it

Yes he did, a customer Honda not a works one.
The point was, how many GP wins does Hayden have outside of Laguna
    Seca?

The 1st year Ducati was a bit of a pig, but this years model and the
    new 800 are nice beasties.

** Il primo anno Ducati era un po'di un maiale, ma questo modello di
anni ed i nuovi 800 sono beasties piacevoli. **
Saluti da Bologna, Italia, indeed my friend.

** Ho avuto un affare di lunga durata con i motocicli italiani,
Ducati, Cagiva, Benelli, sistemi MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi ed il Laverda
mighty Jota e Montjuic di amore... **
Not a problem, most septics don't either :)

** Non un problema, la maggior parte dei Americani non parla inglese
    neanche :) **

Bayliss was on a Honda and never came close to winning. Also, so was
    Edwards.
Why didn't we hear anyone say "where Edwards is finishing is the level of
    the
Honda". Edwards has come closer to winning on the Yamaha than he did on
the Honda, so I guess the Yamaha is the best/easiest MotoGP bike in the
    world.
Also, Capirossi sure doesn't have a problem riding the Ducati.
Baliss couldn't even win his home GP. So what makes in an abortion of a
    track?
Is it because Rossi and the other Euros can't win there?

Include me in the Laverda Montjuic fanatical former owner club. Damn, I am
ageing myself. It was a late model! :)

I sometimes think about getting a Jota, but then I remember that clutch...
You can only ride it for over an hour on full moon nights, and only if
    you're afflicted by lycanthopy... :)

Lots of people have won races on customer Hondas
One. And why exactly don't Laguna races count?

I never managed to own a Laverda but I sometimes have a look on eBay,
but the fact I am not a very good with mechanical items stops me
    buying anything.

No, but if that's the only place he seems to be capable of winning it
    is very telling.

IIRC LS is a track Hayden knows very well which is why he goes well
there, but add in the fact it is an abortion and is only on the GP
circuit because Dorno want some septic TV money. Take LS away from
MotoGP (please) and you leave Hayden with that 1 victory you
mentioned., hardly the mark of a World Champion.
