I have been owner of that bike : after two months my left arm seemed that of
    Schwarzenegger...
However, one the best italian sport bike of the '70 , with Ducati MHR (Mike
Hailwood Replica, a lot of electrical problem and not only...) and Moto
Guzzi LeMans, perhaps the best one.

    Other than Assen.
He hasn't ridden there on a MotoGP bike any more than Rossi had
Convenient argument method: "apart from his victories, he's hardly won
    anything"

Its ok, the fellow forgot that Rossi was all smashed up in that
    race....

Rossi is simply the greatest rider of the era [ever?]

3 MotoGP victories, which is 3 more than Bayliss

    Which was Rossi's fault
Yet you've said repeatedly that his opposition is hopeless, so why does
beating them make him the "greatest rider"?

Is that it? Is that his total achievement? 3 wins more than Bayliss?
You might as well say he has 3 more wins than Ellison or Cardosa.

My original post was Hayden had won races and Bayliss didn't. This is a
statement of fact, so what exactly are you yapping about?

However we had since moved on to Nickys massive achievements in MotoGP
whilst riding the best bike out there. We can only assume from your
reply that my statement of achieving sweet **** all is accurate.

Apart from winning races, which is a matter of fact and my original
point. This seems to upset you. Very weird.

    Current rider wins:

    Checa: 2 in 12 years
    Edwards: 0 in 4 years
    Gibernau: 9 in 10 years
    Hopkins: 0 in 5 years
    Pedrosa: 0 in 1 year
    Cardoso: 0 in 5 years
    Rossi: 58 in 7 years
    Capirossi: 8 in 9 years
    Hayden: 3 in 4 years
    Ellison: 0 in 3 years
    Tamada: 0 in 4 years
Roberts Jr: 8 in 11 years
De Puniet: 0 in 1 year
    Elias: 0 in 2 years
    Stoner: 0 in 1 year
    Melandri: 5 in 4 years
    Nakano: 0 in 6 years
    Hoffman: 0 in 5 years
    Vermulen: 0 in 2 years

So outside of Rossi who has a clear advantage, I don't see any rider having
    a larger
number of wins. So I don't see how anyone could say Bayliss (with 0 motogp
    wins)
is a deserving world champion and Nicky Hayden (with 4 motogp wins) is not.

Why would Nicky winning races upset me? I'm pointing out that for a
works Honda rider his record is utterly pitiful and if not for the
backing of Honda USA he still wouldn't be riding that bike.

In World Champion terms I was referring to Troys SBK championships. I
never claimed that Bayliss had won a MotoGP one. But your stats on
Sete are interesting, how many came on what had to be the de facto
"works" Honda? And why did the Movistar team have to be the "works"
    team that year?

By the tone of your posts, it obviously does.
How exactly does that refute my original post?

I have no idea how I screwed up Pedrosa and Tamada. They were one of the few
that I knew without even looking it up.
