1 - Try a full reset & retuning the box again, as they might have
moved the frequency for a particular multiplex.

2 - Get a Better aerial that offers at least a 15db gain.

Just out of interest, do they still use polarizers and if so is the
default function of the polarizer in the passive state set at (say) 45
deg then it 'rotates' the polarity of the received signal 45 deg pos
or neg depending on the polarity of the control voltage to the device
(so rotating each polarity signal through 45 degrees into the LNB)?

    Or something completely different?

Are you *absolutely* sure that UK digital TV coverage is broadcast
from the Astra satellite? Think carefully before you answer.

Pretty sure that's what my FTA satellite box is pointed at in the UK.
That's also what my old sky digibox is pointed at in France.

Digital TV is not just Freeview, but you knew that.
    No help to TOG though.

Since the last channel shuffle, I've got several channels sharing -
like E4 and ITV4. It's getting really annoying.

Different now. The signal is either vertical or Horizontal (from Astra
at least, as they aren't into the snazzy circular stuff) and the LNB has
two prongs - it's switched from one to the other by the voltage on the
coax being either 12 or 18 volts.

On top of that it's 22kHz tome switched for band...

The LNB should be set onto the dish at a slight angle to match the
polarity of the sats you're watching, but IME rarely is.
