    Complete lifestyle change.

Tues I start the long/interview/CV process for the job of Assistant
    Ambulance Techncian leading to Paramedic.

By next summer I could be the one at the scene of your smidsy telling you to
get the **** up, stop moaning about the bike and your busted leg, and clear
this mess up after you ;-))

Nice one Pete. The more paramedics on bikes the better.

Normally I get blamed for side-swiping bikers off the road (trucker). Be a
change to actually pick up the pieces.
Actually it`s not that much of a change as far as attitude goes.
Believe it or not I stop for any downed biker or cage driver.
The difference will be it could be an OAP with a heart attack or an OD`d
    junkie.
Covers all aspects not just RTA`s but the aim is First response Paramedic
in awkward situations, which (I hope) would involve triage in RTA`s and
    saving lives.
    It`s a long slog and a challenge.

    That`s the bottom line.

    I`ll give it my best.

Discount on Nitrous? Do Bikes run better on Entinox?

I have no idea Pip, chances are over the next year I won`t be able to find
out. IF I get to stage two of selection.

    snip
Its serpently is. For the first year or so they have you chauffeuring damp
grannies in non-emergency vehicles form one clinic to the next complaining
about how long they had to wait in A&E, doesn't the hospital have any
wheelchairs with dry seats and why aren't there more English doctors and he
was a very sweet young man who meant well but its a shame because she didn't
know what he was saying and no that's not because she dropped her hearing
aid in the goldfish bowl last week and if you had real commitment you'd take
her home first before you dash off to enrol in medical school so that you
can make something of your life.

And the *other* thing to remember is when they do let you out on the crash
team and you have to scrape drunks up off the pavement and they look like
they're going to review breakfast in the back of your nice shiny three times
around the clock but yesterday it only broke down twice ambulance, is that
the practical alternative is to pull forward the neck piece of their sweater
so it acts as a scoop. And then the next time you visit A&E the nurses will
put a wide range of incredibly unsavoury objects in your coffee because they
had to get a puke soaked sweater off some scabby lush and they know
*exactly* how it got inside the shirt they had to remove too.
