    Hi there guys,
Well, since I got my L's I have ridden in strong winds and light
rain, but tonight I went out to a mates place and had a new
experience. All was well as I started out... I live in Gippsland Vic
and was heading to Korrumburra to my mates place... as soon as I hit
the hills a Fog rolled in out of no where. Pretty thick, I slowed
down of course, however because the fog was so thick and I was going
slow, as I couldn't see, a fine mist of water quickly covered my
visor. Unlike riding in the rain where the drops would just roll off
the visor, the mist stuck, and soon I could barely see. I had to wipe
it ever couple of mins with my hand and after a while I ended up
opening the visor and squinting so I could see where I was going...
We get a fair few fogs in the hills around here, which is something I
had not thought of... how do others out there deal with riding in the
    fog?

    Thank you for your time,

    Scott.

    Heya,

i've had the same encounter coming home from D&D games at 6am. heading
north up the mitchell fwy (perth) you want a long straight road with
no traffic lights or it can get scary. if i was in traffic on local
roads i would have pulled over.

i had some cheapo yellow night-sunnies on, and the water ran right off
them.. couldn't pull the visor down as you said - it requires constant
    cleaning.

the freeway was great and except for feeling like i was sweating
profusely and gaining 10kg due to my clothes being totally soaked, it
    was fun.

    we get lots of fog in toowoomba;
fit fog lights, the fog sits a foot above the road and a foglight is
supposed to fire a wide flat beam that goes under the fog to illuminate the
    road
plexus or rain x or something like that helps to shed water
nite vision glasses (yellow) help most of all...i like clear glasses for
night use and yellow ones for fog and dull days, they really give you an
    advantage
but usually you take it really easy, make sure your lights are on, hope
noone hits you or you them, and try to watch out for cars without their
lights on (very hard cos u can only see 'em when its too late)

Fog or cloud? If you were crossing the Strzeleckis, it may have been
cloud. If you wan't fog, head to Longwarry along the freeway. On a
good night it can be about a metre deep and perfectly clear above. On
a bad night, it's safer to get off and walk.
