I've only just started hosting the site and it's still W2K Pro
so limited to 10 connections. I'll upgrade eventually.

It's brightening up here. I'm still more likely to go to the
pub rather than get the bike out, mind.

I say old chap, the pic "Ginge threatens TOG" (#42), happens to show my
back. I am not sure whether you are insulting TOG or myself :)

How low are your ceilings that you[1] could manage without?

Dunno. Normal height, I suppose. Just stood with my arm extended, I
could paint my ceilings with a normal roller quite comfortably.

For most of the rooms in my place, I need to be on about the 3rd step
of my 7-step ladder to be able to paint the ceilings with a normal
ladder. For the two front rooms on the ground floor it'd be more like
the 4th or 5th step (these rooms are >3m high).

You have a nice house, and I have a poxy "Bovis home".

I used to be able to get my car in my garage, though - so **** you.

I like my current place, but the location isn't ideal - I'd much
prefer to be - quite literally - around the corner.
I *can* get the Jeep in the garage, but it takes about 5 minutes, and
not at the same time as the bike(s).

Which is why we're going to buy some sort of noddy car to do us until
    we next move.
