    In communiqué <>, Kevin
BBC this morning perhaps. Possibly a report on 'Schoolies' week on the
Gold Coast. I didn't see it all, but I could believe that it might well
be 80% of police work in that area for that week.

  7. Possibly, but I've heard the cops report from schoolies week and they
are congratulating them on behaving themselves with no incidents in
the first 3 days. Which ain't bad with 20,000 testosterone fuelled
late teens arriving in a small area on the Gold Coast.

That 80% figure may apply to some places in Oz, and unfortunately I
think they probably refer to the aboriginal camps around Alice Springs
and areas like that, but it certainly is ludicrous to claim that for
the whole country. We don't even rate as the heaviest drinkers in the
world. I think we come in about 8th per capita. I'm trying to do my
bit for the stats though, I promise.

    "14 arrests so far today".
30th according to the news - you poofs.
    Try harder!

  11. Well there ya go. Since Hawke and Boony went off the scene we've slid
down the rankings. I went to school with Boony btw. And used to shag
his wife's sister back in the days. I recall him throwing up out the
back window of my car in the late 70s . . .

"This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small
servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the
same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album ..."

I can take a whole Zappa album in one go. Sometimes even two.

But I thought that yeast stopped at around 15% alcohol so 32% isn't
    really beer.

  13. Because it is a problem here. We are trying to force white man rules
onto a culture that was here 20,000 years before you lot invaded this
country. It isn't working real well and the people that are still
trying to live on their native land are getting the raw end of the
deal and end up falling back into camps around the outback towns and
get into petrol sniffing and severe alcohol problems. It's not good
and there is no easy solution. They've made some outback areas dry
areas where you simply cannot by alcohol. It's going to take more than
    that though.

  14. I was wondering about that too. I wasn't sure of the figure, but
sounds like they might have dropped a vat of ethanol in it.

Although, one way may be to brew a really high strength beer (to 15%
say) then distill some hops and sugar (if that is achievable) and add
that to the mix. Dunno how you'd keep carbonation up on that sort of
    concoction though.

  16. Look up Bob Hawke too.

He was our Prime Minister in the 90s. When he was a Rhodes Scholar in
Cambridge or Oxord or one of your uni's he held the world record for
sculling a yard glass of beer. We don't seem to build them like that
    any more.

Do you think we should live in the stone age?
Their so called culture is dust. Let the tardy cunts come up into the
    21st century.

They are at least 28 years behind the curve and missing a vital
    ingredient.

In Caithness we made conventional homebrew then used 99.99% bonded
ethanol liberated from Doomreay to spike it to 30% proof. But first of
all we soaked bags of 'Shrooms in the ethanol for a few days.

Not for the faint of heart.
