Bees do have a use after all.

I've been busy coating my Daytonas with Grangers G-Wax to see if I can
bring them back to life after several thousand miles worth of riding
on roads coated in grit and crud. They must have been pretty well
dried out because they've absorbed about 1/3 of a tin and it's still
soaking in to a point where I might even shove more on them.

Even the new pair of Sidis purchased at the NEC last week seem to be
soaking a fair bit in so they might have softened up a bit by the time
I wear them for the winter trip.

This winter riding lark is starting to become a bit of a chore but I
suppose it'll seem worthwhile if everything works out well.
