    HI,

can anyone recomend the best / Value for money online shop where I can
buy a bering legend leather jacket from (pref UK). I have been waiting
for over 3 months for bici.co.uk to get some in stock, and I need the
    jacket urgently for a trip.

    Thanks
    Neil

Have you tried Google both for a shop and against the archive of this
    newsgroup?

FFS. Just go out and buy one and forget trying to save five quid. If
there aren't any in stock, buy something else.

    Sorted.

    Thanks for your help not...

The problem is I am having trouble finding UK suppliers due to limited
stock, the only other place was germany where it was near on 100 quid
different with postage, so not as simple as "just go out and buy
one!", and your helpful adivce of just go out and buy something else,
not much use if you actually want it to zip to your bering
    trousers.....

    thx

Have you tried their head office http://www.bering.fr/ ?

They list 61 dealers in the UK. There's a poster here called Lozzo who
knows the trade rather well. Maybe he can help.

But yes it is, dear. Wear your trousers, or at least take them with
you to a shop that sells bike jackets. Try a few on, find one you
like and see if it zips with your trews. AFAIK a zip is a zip - it
either goes all the way round or just across the back.
    Straightforward, no?

The only Bering stockist I can recall went bust a couple of months ago.
I do know Tim, the UK national sales manager, but I don't have his
    number.

Sadly not. Most zip-togethers are designed that way and are not often
interchangeable with other makes, sometimes not eve with other models
from the same manufacturer. The zips themselves differ quite
dramatically, as do the lengths of both back and all-round ones. Plus
the height needs to be matched, otherwise it'll be too tight or too
    loose.

Of course, there's a chance that he may be able to find a match, but
it's not as simple as you suggest.
