    No, not a troll.
Interested in people's ideas of what is a good late-model cruiser and
    why.
And now that the Vakyrie is EOL, it doesn't count.

The various breeds of Guzzi California of course.

Good handling and brakes mean you can punt hard if you need to or want
    to.
You can cruise happily at low revs or take it up over 5 grand and it's a
    different bike.
Easy to work on, and parts are fairly good even for late model stuff.
Good looking without trying to pretend to be something it's not.
Unusual, so you won't find every bugger's got one.
Not insulting your intelligence with that pseudo rebel bullshit
Owner's clubs not up themselves in the way far too many HOG chapters
    are.
Lots of aftermarket bits available to change seating etc if stock
    doesn't suit.
Very long lifetimes, 100,000+km is common.
Won't get pissed on if you park it next to a patch-holder's bike...

  5. Something different: BMW R1200C. High quality german engineering, abs
brakes, low emissions, long life, reliability, 10,000 km service
intervals, plenty of low end torque, fabulous handling, detuned engine,
a little pricey, top speed 170 kph, 0-100 kph in 5.8 secs, tall first gear.

  8. Suzuki Maurauder 1600 a.k.a. Mean Streak.
Because it comes in Black, and it goes around corners and handles 'like'a
motorcycle (well almost) and better styled than the other time warped clones
..The gear change didn't grind and jam going from 1 st to 2nd, as all the
other 1500 Vulcan's always did either.
