wow. I don't normally notice much difference, but I have to say that
I've just seen a (blue) Triumph Sprint ST 1050, and it's incredibly
better looking than in pictures, and a vast improvement on the old
    Sprint.

    yours, impressed.

I had the same reaction when I first saw a 675 in the flesh. It must
    be a Triumph thing.

Yep, it definitely stands out from the Jap 6s much more than I was
expecting. 'Lithe' is the word which springs to mind.
    Absolutely.

  5. When Bike did that supplement on it, I spent *ages* just poring over the
pix. One of the ebst-looking bikes around. The detailing is absolutely
    fantastic, too.

I spent almost as much time looking at one in that nice Mr Rosner's
showroom. I think the last bike I saw that was so, well, so
    minimalist[1] was the original Fireblade.

[1] I know, it's got lots of plastic, but I meant "pared down".

Precisely. If it didn't have a sewing machine engine, I'd have bought
    one already.

S'funny, I couldn't quite work out what all the fuss was about judging
from the photos. It was only after wandering into a Triumph dealership
the other week that I 'got it'.
That's a good description of it. Minimalist and purposeful. It
actually reminded me more of a 916, probably because of its slimness.

You don't live near a Triumph dealership, do you?

I see *loads* of Harleys round here, but then we have a Harley
dealership in town. Oh, and RAF RAF Mildenhall & Lakenheath airbases
    not a million miles away.
