Oh but I am a silly ****. Parked the bike up in the motorcycle bay on
Chicheley Street right opposite the London Eye, outside Bar One yesterday.
After visiting the Eye (and the bar) we left £90 worth of stainless steel
Xena disk lock alarm lying there in the gutter.

There are quite a few locks and chains around the post there and it's quite
possible it will still be lying there. No good to anyone without the keys
    after all.

Is anyone in the vicinity today who could take a run past and have a look?
finders fee in beer tokens of your choice.

Call Bar One & ask them to check? At least you'll know if it's still
there, & they'll probably hang on to it until it's collected if you ask
    nicely.

Do you really think so? I would have thought it exceptional if any London
bar owner would GAF... or they might think it's a bomb :)

Shit, thanks muchly for checking it out though.
Still, if Darsy had got it tomorrow his "choice of beer tokens" might have
    left me wincing! xo

Back to HG then. I shall engrave the next one with my phone number.

ah well, that'll save me a walk at lunchtime (though if it brightens
up, I might go anyway as it's not far from one of my "lunchtime
    loops").

    not so fast.

    a) Serf is clearly either a blind moron, or in need of a Skoga
    b) you're lucky the sun came out and I decided to go for a walk
    c) Xena disklocks are fucking heavy.

well, a replacement would have cost him £99 or so, so we'll start the
    bidding there and work down.

Oh, plus the compensation for the 45 minutes of my time that it took
    to walk there and back.

just at the side of the road, flush with the pavement.

it's going to cost a fortune to post; where is it you're actually

I will be at Mallory on the 20th May and at Donington
on the 26th for Bikefest, so you can always come and
collect it from me then if that is any easier?
