Brakes get filthy, wheels do. The alloy could do with a deep clean. I
don't want to use one of these cleaners you can't leave on for more
than one second or it will mark the alloy surface etc.

Anyone got any ideas, cleaning bikes is shit, but needs doing now &
    then.

It opnly does that if it's bare ali. If it's lacquered (and they usually
are) then it's not a problem.
TFR (Traffic Fillum Remover). Does what it sez on the tin.

    1. Buy £30 pressure washer - not enough go to get into seals unless you get
very close and wait a bit with the jet on one place.

    2. Spray bike with water.

    3. Brush on Muc-Off - probably only part of the bike because this weather
the first bits will dry before you finish. I use a 1" cheapo paint brush and
my KLE takes about 5 minutes to brush.

    4. Pressure wash the bike.

    5. Repeat on still dirty bits with a bit of rubbing as you brush on the
    Muc-Off.

    6. Go for a ride to dry the bike.

    7. Let the bike cool a bit and spray GT85 on bits like engine mount bolts,
engine, suspension bits at the bottom etc.

It's excellent on painted/lacquered surfaces, but it's a REAL bugger on
polished alloys. It can turn some of them milky white, although I think it
depends on the quality of the alloy.

I use it whenever the bike gets washed, coz it makes the job as simple as
"spray on-rinse off" so it takes no time. Well at least "fewer" time.

Indeed there is, but I wan't sure either anyone knew that, or that if they
did they'd know where to get "the good stuff" from.

We have a bloke wot comes round in a van every few weeks with 25 litrle
"barrels". ISTR we pay about the same price too, but it can be diluted quite
a lot before it loses it's "bant".

That's how you're meant to use it

seriously diluted with a pressure washer

but we use it as a parts cleaner

Depending on what it's used for.
Or even unpressurised water in a spray bottle.
    That's where undiluted TFR rules.
