does anyone know of a solution for lifting a bike up into the
roofspace of a garage so that you can get a car in as well ? I found
one but it's American and not avail here from what I can find.

  3. I am at a loss why you would want to get a cage into your bike shed in
the first place, are you planning on dismantling it? If this is the
case then I can only remind you that the show you can put on with an
Angle Grinder is best done outside where there is the space to express
    yourself fully.

It'll be cheap and getting cheaper though, which could be nice.

Your garage has a roof space? Cool!

Is the structure strong enough to lift and support the weight of the bike or
are you looking for some way of pushing it up from below?

Could you install an RSJ if necessary?

Is the car roof strong enough to support a falling motorcycle? And oil
    resistant?
