Bike rentals in LA

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Bill Mackinnon, Aug 26, 2005.

  1. Any recommendations. Going to visit Ruhi [1] and biking up the 101

[1] Maybe a Harley as Ruhi is so slow [2]
[2] Thinking about it a sports bike would be better.

  2. Do the Harley mate, they may be tractors but they are designed for
riding over there (slow with lazy corners).

But word of advice, when a corner says 25Mph ....... it means don't be
doing 45 or the boards scrape :)

  3. Ruhi is on a Blackbird though !

Ok I'll get off it and push it round the corners.

BTW thinking of scraping how are your crash bars. Still pristine?

Yer, but you can't go over 55 (ok 70 in some places) in septic land :)
Yup. Unscratched for 4 years now :)

Arizona's 75. I think some parts of Colorado have no speed limit on
occasion (but this may be a false memory)

I'll check out Colorado next month.[0] But from what I've seen, the
    traffic laws are pretty safety-nazi.

[0] In July, I got the survey form on the flight in and out of Denver.
Leaving Heathrow, my only comment was that while there was wireless
internet in the lounge (though charging for it is a bit fucking
cheeky), there's no real food. Leaving Denver, my only comment was
that while there was some real food in the lounge, there was no
    internet of any sort.

Which lounge? BA's first lounge has real food in it. Well, they'll make
you a decent sandwich or a bacon roll if it's early enough in the
    morning.

    T4, by Gate 1A.
I'll have to hunt out this other lounge next week, clearly.
