    Maybe I misunderstood the point but I always thought the whole idea of a
    disclock was for that very purpose and the point of the alarm was to stop
    scousers nicking it.

    it may deter a casual thief but won't stop someone more organised lobbing
    it into the back of a soundproofed van, usually a nicked refrigerated van.
