In recent years i've always tried to go to the NEC during the week on the
basis that there is probably less of a crowd. This year, however, I can't
find the time and have to go on a Saturday.............so two questions.

How much more crowded will the show be on a Saturday?

Which Sat will be best - 24th or 31st?

You want to pick up those spares on the way past?

I've also got a cd of manuals should you need them.

well, given that I've only ever been the once, my comment was slightly
tongue-in-cheek. But bike shows in general are largely rubbish.

Actually, I like the whole "looking and sitting on lots of different
bikes" bit, but it's the fucking riff-raff that attend these shows
that I can't stand.

let's face it, in general bikers are badly dressed, ill-advised-
hairstyled, fat, boorish, stupid, ignorant, largely-unwashed fuckwits.
Why would I want to go somewhere where there are lots of them?

Every bike show we go to, me and the old man always comment that
motorcycling attracts some fucking ugly people.

I'm tempted to go now, just to see what your offspring's like, poor
sod :)
Well why not indeed.

He takes after his mother so blonde gorgeous and unbearably smart.
Well ok she wasn't *that* smart. Once.

1h16m from Euston. Saver return in 37squid. Unfortunately a proper ticket is
squillions.

From me he got an unhealthy obsession about bikes and speed, a taste for
curry and Guinness and has started to notice cleavage.

That is why I am going this Friday, the preview day, as I said. Take the
day off, you got your project in.
It is about the only day you can bounce on all the bikes without queuing.

hey, I don't even need to take the day "off"; I've just had my annual
appraisal and my boss has told me that "going forward" (managementese
deliberately left in to annoy), he expects me to take 1-3 days per
month "working from home" on "transversal initiatives". And, that's /
project*s*/ by the way - 4 major deliveries this year, all OTOBOS
(abbreviation left in to annoy Cane)
It's still in fucking Birmingham, though.

I've got a decent car, why on earth would I take a train?
Oh I can't cope with cars on the southern motorways during the working day
and the thought of Friday evening traffic into London.....
I *like* comfortable train journeys.
