heh. Never mind that, I'm never getting that spannered again, ever.

    Seriously.[/QUOTE]

I believe it's the first time I set eyes on you. Most amusing.

don't think so - I did say I'm going on the next ToGTour[1], which is
what you might be thinking of.

[1] mainly because I want to do at least one medium(ish) length tour
on the Tiger before getting rid of it.

Well, for a start I only bought it on a whim. I do quite like it, but
it's not hitting enough buttons to consider keeping long term.
Basically, although the height and weight don't particularly bother
me, the front end is very vague, and does not inspire confidence at
all - I want something with a bit more feedback.

I don't think there is such a thing as the perfect bike for me, but I
think I'll try a Speed Triple 1050i next to see how I get on with
    that.

of course, but there are quite a few people going on the next trip
that I would quite like to have a couple of evenings on the piss with.

almost: "anything I fucking want it to be providing it has a global
    rather than local focus".

Won't change the nature of the beast.

I know where Darsy is coming from. Gixxer 1000 performance and weight. R1
radial brakes. GTR1400 comfort. 20000 miles service intervals, £5k new,
    doesn't depreciate or rot, 60mpg at 100mph.

First thing I thought of from that side of the world that could be
consumed with curry. I mean, who'd voluntarily drink american beer.

    Ah with you now!

On the subject, Yanks are going MicroBrewery and they have some decent
    stuff.

    and
www.beer-lover.com/database/georgia.htm (my associates live in Alpharetta)

Also tried a Canadian weisse beer, Blue Moon which was great on a hot day,
    owned by Molson though.

Aye, and 4 wheels, of course.
I'm not much of a prophet, so you could be right. But I doubt it.

Quite. Although it pains me to say, the "all American beer is shit"
argument is a bit redundant nowadays.

Denver had some cracking beers brewed in the micro-breweries.

predictably enough, I wouldn't have a clue where to start, nor
    probably the tools required.
