Bikepoint ?

did a search on Bikepoint for a Honda VF1000R. turned one up which
sounded good. rang the contact number 2 find that the bike was sold
over 12 months ago :-(
anyone else had this experience ?

I received an email from them last week asking if I wanted to update my
advert! The add was for 2 additions last Oct!

 

Similar experience. Sent a message via the web page and was informed the
dealer couldn't remember the last time they had a bike of that type in
stock. This would indicate a fair time had elapsed.

same deal... advertised the ZX12 last September and sold it but got an
enquiry last week for it.

 

Yah, I had a similar experience.

I rang about a bike for sale and got abused... along the lines of "WILL
YOU FUCKING PEOPLE STOP RINGING ME! I SOLD THE BIKE MONTHS AGO!!"

To which I said "Well you haven't cancelled the advert have you
dickhead!" and hung up...

OTOH, I've bought a bike of bikepoint without trouble too...

I've seen some particular bikes advertised on it for non-stop for a couple
of years. They can set a time period for the ad to appear and the ones that
hang around have an advertising period set to "for ever". That information
disappeared from the web page about a year ago - now you can't see the ad
validity period.
