I was taking my old hot-tub to a friend's house just after the noon-hour
today, and just as I rounded the turn on Buckingham (in front of the liquor
stores) - They had traffic shut down... a bike and a car up on a flat-bed
tow truck... and the bad news... they were surveying the site as I passed
by... I didn't notice the make of the bike, but it was a big'en - possibly
    a Valkyrie

About an hour later, on my way back, I stopped at the Oasis Liquor
store there, and asked the clerk if they knew what had happened.... She
says that witnesses say that the bike was headed westbound, and trying to
turn left into the shopping center parking lot... and wound up turning into
the path of the car. Bike was under the car, and driver was thrown...
dunno how far... Said driver of bike was still alive, but very bloody when
Careflight got there to transport to Parkland... but had no update other
than that... I'm suspecting that the police were not expecting him to make
it (or he had to be transported to a hospital for official declaration of
death), since the survey was taking place...

    Be careful out there...

Channel five carried a brief report of that accident.. I got the impression
the biker was killed.. Maybe the four o'clock reports will have more
details.. Sure hope that biker makes it.. Always sad to lose one..
