    Hey .. we got a governor that claims he is a biker too.. Course .. no one
    has ever caught him on one.. But... Ann used to ride.. She was one helluva
    "Mama"..

    Didn't know that. I sure miss her colorful wit. My favorite Richards quote
    of all time was the one where she said about George Bush Sr.... "George
    can't help it if he was born with a silver foot in his mouth!". I still
    laugh everytime I hear that one. I'd love to know what quips she has for The
    Chimp (aka Dubya) and his circle of extremist buddies in the White House and
    Congress.

    She called me last year when Ron Kirk was running against Cornyn.. LOL.. She
    is living mostly, up north somewhere.. Of course, the call was placed to an
    anonymous number to solicit support for Kirk.. I did engage her in the vein
    of a more personal conversation and begged her to come back to Texas ..
    Wouldn't she make an excellent "chairperson" for the Texas Democratic
    Party.. I do agree that the lady is strong and has a charm of her own..
    Tremendous character.. Thanks for the post..
