    No, no, no.

You need a Ride Captain. Then you'll need a Ride Lieutenant. At least
one Ride Adjutant. A bunch of Ride Corporals. You may or may not need
Ride Sergeant Majors (depending on numbers).

Lastly you'll need a Ride Obergruppenfuehrer. He'll be the one with the
really shiny boots and gold braid around his helmet.

You may find it useful to have a small group of outriders to be called
the Ride Gauleiters. Their role is to spot anyone taking unapproved
lines through corners and deal with them in a swift and harsh manner.

Then, and only then, can you have a *proper* ride-out.

In the event of an amusing crash where the rider is ahead of me I
prefer to ride past in case stopping makes me late for whatever I've
    got planned.

I didn't think that was all that amusing a crash.

I was *very* disappointed with the technical merit marks and the Welsh
judge's artistic impression mark was a travesty.

    I say, that's a touch harsh.

I think anyone that didn't wouldn't be worth the bother of riding with
    in the first place.

Although their "always be able to see the guy behind you in your
mirrors" does make a certain amount of sense. Not for you, but if the
guy behind you is directly behind, he can't see past you.

**** that, I want the rider behind out of sight because that means
    you've got them beaten.
