[1] What exactly do you hate about that ad?

[2] Why, if you hate it, do you drag it in here?

That people would force themselves into a situation that is just not right,
only to be used for marketing.

If I walked in there my guess would have been those two seats were saved
for two people that will never take them, but this does not make it ok for
someone else. I wouldn't go climbing over everybody (with partner) and
expect a beer in the end.

It did start off making one feel the world is not so noice then end warm
    and fuzzy.

    Huh???????????

[1] Why do you say they "forced themsleves into a situation"?
[2] Why do you say the situation was "just not right"?
[3] How do you know the entire production was not completely
    scripted from go to whoa?
    Yes, but that's just you.
Oh? My immediate response was "Oh wow, look at all those attractive
and desirable chunky blokes! Ooooo look, there's two seats right in
amongst them! Yessssssss!" And I immediately started to bar-up. I
think you've got warped values, Peter...

Huh? How do you figure that out? These guys were obviously employed, I
very much doubt they had to force themselves to do anything. And how is
that situation "just not right" anyway?
Don't cinemas want sell the number of tickets to a film that matches the n
umber of seats? If I bought a ticket to a film and was told at the counter
that I had the last seat then why would I assume it was saved for anyone?
Well, if the seat was where it was a certain amount of "climbing" to get to
your seat would be needed but how would you determine that they would
"expect" a beer in the end?
Simpler than that to me, it reminded me of the adage not to judge a book by
    it's cover.

I think you need to look at it again and ask yourself why the people who
did sit down get a drink. Yes, it is just marketing. The boys were
employed but they would like us to think the people who sat down in the
    last two seats were not.

Not often, that went out with the days of the usher.

Why do you assume they were told anything.
I don't think I am the only person who would walk in there and at least
ask one of the guys if I was in the right place.
Being a motorcycle rider I would be aware of the custom of remembering
    those that don't make it.

If it was a cinema full of soldiers (relax Gerry) I would have paused
    and asked the same question.

I don't but I can easily determine the boys were ready as they had beer
and bottle openers, don't forget the spotlights and camera.

Funny that, I would have said it was based on the adage not to judge a
book by it's cover... and taking the piss (pardon the pun).

Most women would suggest that you have no idea of it's location :)
