I'm still waiting to get my first bike, but have been wondering about
a few things. I was driving around the city this week and seeing
bikes parked on the footpath got my wondering how often people get
    their bikes stolen?

You always hear about a mate who got their car nicked when it was
parked out the front of their house, and somebody tried to steal my
1978 Commodore a few years ago (they should have taken the bloody
thing away....would have saved me doing it when it finally died) but
I've never heard anything about motobikes?

My GPX250 was stolen from out the front of my house in Canberra last year.
It was 2 feet from my bedroom window, and I was home at the time - didn't
hear a thing. It happens, but don't let that stop you - just try to take
what security precautions you can, and make sure you have insurance. Other
than that, try not to worry about it and just enjoy riding your bike - you
    can always get another one!

I did that. I bought a GPX250. The anti-theft protection was the fact that
it was a GPX250. The bastards STILL took it!!!

Actually, it was a bloody good bike, but how hard up do you need to be to
    steal a GPX?

It's the story about the two blokes walking through the forest when
suddenly they stumbled apon a Grizzly-Bear.
One bloke said "just freeze and maybe he won't attack".
"No way" said the other bloke, "I'm gonna' run!".
"But you can't outrun a bear"
"I don't have to. I've only gotta outrun you!!"

  6. You know why scuba divers always carry a knife? So if they see a shark,
they can stab their buddy and swim away...
