Geez some people have short memories :) Standard wheel size combo for
most of the late 80s sportsbikes, no ?
Yeah SZR660, single cylinder sports bike, half faired, sweet little bit
of kit, nearly bought one when I bought the TRX except for the lack of HP.

OK small capacity sports bikes :)

Besides, I seem to recall bikes like the GPZ had rather narrow (140
width 18's ?). The review I read yesterday on the ZZR11 (1990) because
of the other thread commented on the "massive" 170 section rear tyre...

(aren't they the same sizes as the GPX - paging BTH)

    If we're talking GPX250/GPz250, then they're 100/90-16 and 130/90-16
    front and rear.

I think that the GPz750/GPz900 had 16" front and 18" rear, and by
today's standards both were quite narrow.

Incidentally, it's *so* nice to be riding with the same tyre profile at
both ends of the bike, after several months of 100/90-16 at the front
and 130/80-16 at the back! Now that I've fixed that, fitted a new pair
of non-pitted forks ($70 from e-bay) and done some fairing repairs, I
just have to get the overheating issue sorted and The Jackal should be
    good for another 100,000km. ;-)

    Gpz900r & Gpx750r both had similar tyres.
    Same wheels actually.

    110/90/16 on the front
    130/80/18 on the rear.

Incidentaly these are the same profiles that Yamaha's FZ750 ran although
most changed them to a 140/70/18 rear when they became available. Also
120/80/16 Front was a popular conversion

  6. How about 80/100-16 and 90/90-18 (CBX250),or 100/90-16 and 110/90-18
    (VF400)?

  7. You should have told me you wanted fork sliders for a GPX. I have a pair of
them sitting in the garage doing nothing!

  10. Too Fiddly.

Unless you're talking GPZ, in which case, let me know.

"Guildford Kawasaki" may be able to help. <grin>
