Well, nevermind about the benefit anyway.

Bike flipped over the side of the trailer, smashing a bunch of plastic,
a foot peg, a brake mount, and bending some forks or maybe the frame.

Waiting on Progressive to call me and tell me if it's covered.

Wish this was an April Fool's joke.

Hey Scooter, how much were you wanting for that old wore out Goldwing of
    yours?

If you're serious just give me a phone call. All the chrome, LED
    lights and
other accessories are worth more than the one you dropped but we can
make a deal. The new bike keeps looking at the Wing and sneering. I've
got to keep peace in the garage somehow.

That is sad to hear, and I am sorry for your loss. Maybe the vehicle towing
it would cover it with their insurance? We know it fell down, but what
happened? Hope it works out for you ok.

amazing to get that much damage from falling over in a trailer.

Progessive says I'm not allowed to smash my own shit, apparently. If it
had been somebody else's bike, it woulda been covered by my truck insurance.

Kinda serious, kinda joking. Don't think I wanna burn one of my CD's on
a that much motorcycle just yet, but I'm thinking about it. Will let you
    know.

Well, I think I've got my Bunkhouse camper sold, or at least the guy
is nibbling the bait well. And I've got the new bike so I don't really
need two bikes in my garage. I started to say you'll need a trailer
    for
all the stock parts, spare set of wheels, etc. but after learning of
your expertise with trailers perhaps that's not a great idea.
That Wing is an 02 with only about 62K miles on it, I've thought
of advertising it but I hate the hassle of folks I don't know wanting
test rides, etc. so I've let it sit there and get dusty. I'll sell it
    for a
decent price but I won't give it away, even has brand new tires and
brake pads, less that 500 miles on them.
    YMMV

What is comprehensive and collision for? I mean if you run your truck into a
tree would they not pay? Anyway are you going to tell us how it happened?

For the sake of all I shall refrain from commenting on any wing that
is not naked as Soichiro Honda's engineers wanted them to
be...anything with the plastic inspired by vetter is a pale UGLY
imitation of a real wing. Nobody NEEDS crap like radios, gps,
bluetooth, cruise control, on the fly adjustable suspension.

Nope I will refrain from making any comments. Hell I've sworn off on
commenting on the chrome slathered butt jewelry crowd putting along on
their open piped harley's offending the sensibilities and hearing of
all withing 20 miles of their obnoxiously loud, poorly tuned piles of
ego boosting, small dick/boob enhancing motorcycles.

Not me I gave up on that stuff...bike like those suck so much there is
no need to mention it anymore. ;^) Though paint jobs are still open to
ridicule and derison...there is no excuse for ugly paint.

Didn't have full coverage on the bike, only the truck.

I am not sure exactly how it happened, I'm guessing a strap came loose
some sort of way as I made the corner, and the bike made a leap for
freedom. I was hauling it on one of those itty bitty trailers, so
instead of just falling over in the trailer, it fell out in the road.

You can still see the footpeg in the road at 2920 and 249.

===oh holy shit, we didden know it completely fell off your
trailer....that's aweFul. I've had 'em to get loose back there, and a
strap blowing whole heartedly in the wind, but ....ooooooohhhh,
terrible. I becha about had a stroke, when you realized...holy shit,
    the bike, the bike......

Suddenly I've gone from sad to glad. Why glad? I use a enclosed 2
horse trailer that was new in 72'. The back folds down into a full
width ramp and plenty of nice tie down points inside.
