Well it's your life, & your legs, but I'm damn sure I wouldn't risk a
permanently mangled leg (which is presumably what could happen if you
gave it another mildish bang before it's significantly stronger than
'weight bearing'). Just going for a ride - sure. But going for a ride
with several peers & a free pass to glf? Not a chance.

If Jorge Lorenzo can do it, I don't see why you can't. <g>

It's a fair cop. I wouldn't feel the same about other people, but for
someone like Champ who gets his kicks from things like snowboarding &
mountain biking, I think not taking risks 'til fully healed would be A
    Good Thing.

well, apart from the fact that Champ is old enough to be Lorenzo's
    grand-dad.

You're gonna be hard-pushed to get the engine out of Kwakzilla and into
your road bike by then, though.

Rope on the other hand, had a completely different kind of
    mentor.
    He'll tell his tale.

The day is mostly designed for newer bikers and returnees.
You fucking lot will blow plods plans away if they give you
    an inch (see Beav's comments).

I never tested my plod in the speed stakes.

I, on the other hand, did. He told to me to keep up with him at one
point. I needed everything my skill had on the 10R to keep up with
    him.

Yes. The plod who was with me was a two hat and he was riding a Ducati
    Hypermotard.

If it were me, and he'd been that tedious, I'd have stopped, told him to
stop wasting my time and gone back to wait for the others at the start.

I'm tempted to do a Bikesafe day if only because with my licence in
tatters, it'd be the only chance I'd get to go banzai without paranoia.
Though, thinking back to last Sunday, paranoia is easily dealt with...

It took a long time to get a reply to an email. A call might be better.
