There was an item on the BBC radio news just now regarding criticism
of Cheshire Police. They have apparently been erecting road works
signs along the Cheshire-Shropshire border in two languages: English
    and Polish, of all things.

    I'm dumbstruck.

The signs will soon be 100ft high to encompass all the usual languages. We
have a site signs here in English and Hungarian! there are no Irish or
Polish construction guys left on site.

In NE Wales now we have a growing eastern european community, most of which
are Polish, so I guess it's a reaction to that.

There's a massive Polish workforce in NI. There's Polish on the BT
phone boxes here. (signs, not Graffiti ;)
