I had to work on mine. Unrewarded, unacknowledged and on a Saturday,
a day on which I don't normally work (not for religious reasons, just
    'cos I don't).

Not in a happy place right now; no particular reason, just feeling
    down.

How do you get people to listen to you, and how can I tell my doctor I
    don't want more bloody pills?

Working on my birthday doesn't bother me cos I don't celebrate it. I
absolutely hate working weekends though, my weekends are precious to me
because I worked myself into the ground in the past and promised never
    to go there again.
The easy way, be straight and tell him/her so.

Just finished 11 days straight. My brain hurts. You did the smart
    thing.

Fucking hellbeans, you're that busy? Must be new stock deliveries. Does
this mean the reps will actually have the confidence to sell stuff that
won't go on backorder straight away then?
Tell that to my bank manager.

    Change your audience.
Er, just tell him you don't want any more bloody pills.

I've worked on my birthday for the last 8 years. Obviously I let the
whole company know that it's my birthday first so they have plenty of
notice to purchase me something and then I always bring in a supply of
el-cheapo cakes for my colleagues to munch on as a welcome distraction
    to their usual work.
So it's unconnected with your birthday. It's just another day.
People only want to listen if they care what you're talking about. If
you don't want any more tablets then talk to your preferred healthcare
professional. They might think it's a really good idea to keep you on
pills. They do have aducation in the pill-taking area and generally
    know what's best.

Perhaps you should stop consuming alcohol as that's not good.

So did I this year, and last, both on-site. Milton Keynes last year
and Crawley this. Glamorous or what?
Be confident and assertive. Hard to do when you're down, I know, but
you have to act a bit.
Same way you've just told us. If you don't mind, I'd suggest a few
sessions with a counsellor. Having a third party to air your feelings
    to might help a lot.

Say exactly that, then maybe you should follow it up with "I want you to
refer me for cognitive behavioural therapy." Then you'll actually get
to talk to a professional about what's going on in your noggin, and
learn ways to deal with it.

    Good luck.

I keep expecting to find you in the assorted HG shops I frequent!
I know you probably wouldn't, I just associate them with you.

I've always thought you were a sterling guy Nick and knowledgeable in
certain areas, but you appear to be loosing your mind.

That's the attitude of any addict when it's suggested that his
drug of choice may not be entirely beneficial.

    No, we had a stocktake last weekend. New deliveries start next week;
as to backorders, time will tell.

I've never felt the need to have "no booze" but then I've always been able
to stop after a couple of glasses if I need to. That's personal though.

Excess, especially gin, when depressed, totally agree.

You don't mention exercise. Getting out for walks in the country or swimming
or cycling helps hugely with depression.

No caffeine is good too but you probably need alcohol to get through the
    cold turkey.

    I'd not seen three before.

I'd add another must; "keep busy".

Stay on the pills, they're clearly working.

It's normal to be pissed off working on days you don't normally work.

You were acknowledged, it turns up as money somewhere, sometimes called pay.

I've been trying to become a gentleman of leisure but paying taxes and
living expenses is something I haven't quite figured how to get round yet.

    Happy un-birthday.

Hog banged the rocks together and they said :
Would those be costal areas with viewpoint seating?
I actually agree with him. Alcohol and depression do not mix, unless
you've got some external influence to keep you happy, or the
mindset/opportunities to change your life around.

Regular drinking at home by oneself *really* doesn't do depression any
    good.

Bear banged the rocks together and they said :
I remember you used to eat one big meal a day when you were dieting,
did you find that classed as regular eating or have you stopped doing
that now? (aside from you'll have stopped when you got to your target
    weight)
