  2. Those Stobie poles are strong. Originally invented by a
railroad(?) engineer for use in the Outback where there are no trees, they
are quite common in Adelaide, etc. They are two lengths of railway line
laid at a slight angle to each other and filled with concrete. He would
have been better off to have hit the broad side, not the narrow one...

  3. I was wondering about that. I was thinking it sliced through the car
    like a razor.

You must have one hell of a scary razor. No wonder you've given up shaving.

Of course there's no engine to get in the way - probably fortunately
    in this case.

    Following the report through reveals:
Oh dear, we know what that will lead to, don't we?
    Soo predictable.

  9. Ah but...

"Wild at Art manager Lana Errey rushed to help the two men after the
accident happened 200m from her gallery.

"I just wanted to do what I could to help. After I checked they were OK
I put my hand on the driver's shoulder and said a prayer for them," she
    said."

    So that's all right, then.

I was thinking, it was lucky they hit the narrow side not the broadside.
Although the pressure is greater against the narrow edge, it resulted in a
cleanish cut down the centre. The wider side would have crushed the
    footwells.

Yeah, I read that too, and thought - if someone had put their hand on
my shoulder and prayed for me I'd have decked the ****, broken back or
    not.

Considering Ben's roots, I suspect the introduction of christian girls to
sin was the mainstay of his teenage liaisons.

The church-going religious girls I've known have been the most
adventurous and mainly the better in bed of all the girls I've known.
If they were posh/well eductaed as well, that was even better.
