It wouldn't be a strike if it wasn't culturally or socially
relevant to your good self in some way. :)

I just happen to be round about that age. :)

Anyway you can't count in strikes old bean.
    It's just not cricket.

Strikers don't play cricket, they form brass bands.

    tell that to Zeus[1]

[1] "Clash of the Titans" was - predictably enough - total fucking
    shit.

Oh, FFS. You didn't actually pay to *watch* it, did you?

It only encourages them, you know.

'fraid so. Absolutely awful stuff. I wanted to see "Kick Ass" but was
    out-voted.
being fair, it wasn't the worst film I've seen at the cinema in the
    last year or so.

Kick-ass was fairly amusing, not great but good entertainment.

Next great thing, innit. The coming saviour of the TV industry too,
apparently. Now we've all got flatscreen boxes, they've hit saturation
and there's not enough customers to go around. I've already seen on
    advert for a LCD set that's "3D-ready".

    Then there's "4D".

The programmes are repeated at short intervals [1].

[1] this is only a guess.

Indeed, I saw an advert with football in 3D, and it looked really shit.
Maybe it's hard to get action & motion right in 3D, but Avatar managed it.

oh, well, go and argue it out with Mark Kermode, who it appears
    disagrees.

I thought "Avatar" was fantastic[1], as did both stepsons. A. didn't
    "get it" at all.

[1] as a visual spectactical - plotwise it was a bit formulaic.

When the film turns out to be shit, you really can get that two hours of
    your life back.

I watched Zombieland on the way to and back from Frankfurt over the
