That's what now covers my downspout and the metal lamp post outside my
    house.

Had another "incident" on Saturday night, around midnight.

Upshot is, some fucker tried to use the downspout as a climbing aid
and ended up yanking part of it off the wall and tried to "wobble" the
lamp post in the hope of twatting the guttering.

So both now sport a liberal coating of anti climb paint - as per the
    subject line.

I have a rough idea where this shit may be coming from, now - but no
    proof.

I may, finally, have to go the CCTV route.

I suspect it will cost a pretty penny, as I want a very discreet
system which cannot be spotted by the scum.

    4ax.com:

Bummer, don't let 'em get to you mate.
How about a small webcam, a lot cheaper, and you can get ir activated ones
with software to record to hard disk when the movement sensor is tripped.

Anybody got any url's for Fr Jack?

You don't even need an IR sensor, you can use a web cam, but get the PC
    to do motion sensing.

If they're scum, they'll throw things at the camera, maybe missing and
    damaging other stuff... maybe..

What's the latest with WiFi cameras? Ones with outside casing, and ideally
    controllable remotely.

    Thanks
