It was completely ignored when I had a roadside chat with a copper about 2
    summers ago.

The way you ride, it'd be another reason to throw the book at you. The
way I ride, it'd be a mild annoyance to them..

Last time I was stopped it was on the FJ1200, caning the tits off it
in Derbyshire, in the pissing rain ...

Nothing to do with how they look to be honest, I cant stick wearing
sunglasses with a helmet on, never have, never will.

Ditto, bt I try to keep to a legal tint, the one that comes with my Uvex
is fine and stops me squinting.

The spare I bought has the words "Daytime Use Only", which disappears
with the application of a black felt tip pen :)

Mines pressed into the plastic (Shoei) but a file could do the same :)

  11. I'm with you on that one. I hate it. Thankfully we are allowed tinted
    visors over here.

I wear a dark visor pretty much all the time. I often have a clear one
in a tankbag just in case I get stuck somewhere til after dark but not
    always.

I can only really see it being used as extra ammo when I'm being nicked
for something more serious. The idea that I might have to suffer a
penalty jus for having a dark visor is so unlikely it's ludicrous.

[nods] I find them uncomfortable as well but a drop down sun visor in
the lid solves the problem for me without any issues.

I got one of those "sunax" visors, only to discover that there's no
gap between the shell and the lining on a Shoei Multitec.

I'd try it in the full face, if I could remember where I put it.

I just pulled horizontal speedo needle +10 degrees on the way home from
the pub while wearing a dark visor. **** knows what the mph was, I
couldn't see because of the dark visor ;)

    I'm such a webel.

I use a black pinlock in my Arai, which is AFAIK completely legal.
