  1. In some ways I think of it as being like toxic shock syndrome.

I think you could well be right:

"Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a serious but uncommon bacterial
infection. TSS was originally linked to the use of tampons......"

    You're not the only one....

The 'we' in your post is a bit of a giveaway for a start, ain't it...??

  6. Of course I am fucking right, I am always fucking right, I am An
    Ancestor

I was thinking more on the lines of a severe and largely adverse
reaction to a new experience for a poorly trained and/or faulty immune
system but hey this is ukrm, meanings are not only plentiful and
entirely at the whim of the reader but occasionally profound.

OK, Ancestor - is it going to rain later?

(Me bike's all nicely buffed up atm and I don't want it shitted up...)

I say that all the time....

    I *knew* that'd raise a comment.

OK, an acceleration in the direction opposite to that in which the
    vehicle is travelling.

    Pedant.

I loved mine, it did everything very competently, and I would have one
in a shot if I could justify an expensive litrebike as a tourer. As it
is the FJ12 fulfils this for just shy of £100 per year in insurance.

Mind you, the trumpet isn't exactly a cutting edge back lane scratcher
    so it may suit.

So apart from when you tried to CIHAGM the 12R with 14PSI in the
front, the blackbird would feel similar with a bit more weight higher
up and a bit more smoothness.

As an aside, I couldn't believe how similar the 'busa was to the 12R.
Apart from having a physically lower seat, it could have had the same
    engine.
